WATER TREATMENT

We provide Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment and Waste Water Recycling Solutions.

Waste Water Primary Treatment

The first step in the water treatment process is wastewater primary treatment, which removes suspended particles (TSS), oil and grease, color, and odour. The screens, grit chamber, flow equalization tank, and clarifier are all important components in this process.

Wastewater is run through a screen during initial treatment to remove any big objects suspended in the water. If these materials are not removed before treatment, they may clog downstream equipment, causing damage to it and inefficiency in the process.

The water then passes through a grit chamber, where the grit is removed. Sand, gravel, eggshells, bone pieces, seeds, and other items make up grit. To eliminate large deposits in aeration tanks, digesters, channels, and conduits, grit treatment is required. It offers the benefit of preventing wear and tear on mechanical equipment.

Primary settling tanks are the next step in the Wastewater Primary Treatment process. Solids sink down due to gravity and are collected as sludge from the bottom of these tanks, which are usually huge in size. Meanwhile, the oil floats to the surface and is skimmed off, 50-60% of the suspended particles are removed, and the five-day biological oxygen consumption is projected to be reduced by 30-40%.
